Health update...

Well, on Wednesday things got worse. My chest and throat (esophagus) were hurting terribly. I couldn't breath well and everything hurt. Billy called my friend (Misty) who is a medical assistant to see what to do. She ordered a chest x-ray in fear that I could have pneumonia. So, off I went to get the x-ray. After the x-ray I just sat in the truck. I had no energy! I had driven myself and was unsure if I could make it home. I felt exhausted. After about 30 minutes I decided to go home. I drove home, praying the whole time that I would make it home safely. I'd never felt so disoriented...besides coming out of surgery or something that would cause that. I made it home! I went straight to my bed and covered up with 5 quilts. I was freezing! I took my temp and it was 102 something. Billy came in and I was so confused and tired and cold and in pain. He talked to me, but I can't even remember what was said. I remember just staring off into space and just feeling so so tired! A while later, I don't know how long exactly, Billy came in and said that he had called our Relief Society President and that she was on her way so that he could take me to the doctor. I told him that I didn't want to go. Of course I couldn't put up much a fight. She showed up and I didn't want to leave...I had finally gotten warm. I didn't want to leave my warmth now...it had taken so long to get warm. But off I went. Billy stayed with the kids and I went to the doctor with my Relief Society Leader. I refused to go to the ER because I didn't know if insurance would cover it and wasn't about to have to worry about that. So, Billy arranged for me to go to the same doctor's office that my friend Misty works at. By the time I was to be seen, I had started sweating so I figured my fever had broken. It was still 1oo.9 when they took my temp, but I told them that it was the best I had felt all day. And it was! I didn't feel great, but I truly felt better than I had just 30 minutes prior. I came out of the office with a prescription of Tamiflu and Prednisone. The doctor said that I was the worst case that she had seen so far. My friend later told me that before the doctor came in she told the doctor to "take care of her, because she is my best friend!" I have the greatest friend ever! Anyway, I went back home and took some meds, but couldn't hold them down. Yep, I threw them up! However, all night long I sweated! I was soaked! It was rather gross, but I think I sweated some toxins out! Today has been a good day. I'm still coughing and have some pain, but I'm pretty sure I'm on my way to recovery! Thank goodness!

As for the rest of the family...

Billy seems to be getting better as well. He totally saved me yesterday by taking care of everything while I was so sick and out of it. His worst day was Monday by far. I feel so loved for his worry and care for me! I Love him so much!

Chandler got a fever on Tuesday night. He has had a fever on and off since then, but only complains of a headache once in a while and coughs a little. I hope that's all he has to go through!

Stetson seems to be doing well. It's so sad that he has to be sick. It's hard to know just what he needs. But he hasn't been coughing and his breathing is good. He hasn't had a fever that I've detected today. His appetite declined and has slept a lot, but I think he's on the recovery.

Brielle has still stayed healthy through it all. I'm glad that she hasn't gotten sick. However, she has had so much energy that we've been challenged to keep up with her. I guess she's been good through it all, but it sure is difficult to keep up with an almost 3 year old when everyone else is so sick!

All in all, we feel so blessed! We've had people from church bring us meals since Tuesday night and many calls of concern have come our way! Thanks to all for the thoughts, prayers, calls, meals, and everything!

The Piggy Flu!

Yep, that's right! Billy went in yesterday and they told him that he has the Swine Flu, or H1N1, or whatever it is! Actually they just test for Influenza A or B, and if it's A then it's the same strain that the Swine Flu is. So, to save money and time (takes 2 days for results from the hospital), they tell ya you have the Swine Flu! So, I guess it's not for sure what it is, but has all the symptoms of it. I started to come down with it yesterday afternoon as well and I think Stetson is getting it as well. It's pretty brutal! The worst part about it is the fever, aches, and chest pain. When I took Stetson in he had a fever of 102.7. They said that his white blood count was still good and that he sounded ok so far. So, to just keep watching him and if he gets worse they'll give him the Tamaflu. All they say to do is alternate between Ibprofen and Tylenol every 3 hours. Anyway, we're alive, but not well. So far Brielle and Chandler seem to be just fine. It has it's ups and downs. When we don't have fevers it's not so bad, but once the fevers hit it's horrible!

Deena and Dexter's Wedding!

Billy's baby sister Deena got married on Saturday in the St. George LDS Temple! It was such a beautiful wedding and we really enjoyed it. The sealing was at 8:40am which made for a really long day! We had pictures at the Temple then a luncheon at noon which was really yummy and nice. Then, we were off to Moccasin for the wedding reception, but had more pictures beforehand. It was a really long day, but Deena looked absolutely beautiful! I'm excited to have Dexter in the family...he's such a gentleman. He was so attentive to Deena all day long. During the pictures before the reception Deena ran outside and had to throw up. She's diabetic and it turns out that her blood sugar was over 400. Dexter was so great with her, and tested her blood sugar for her and was there for her every step of the way. Deena's Aunt Kim is diabetic as well, so she helped her get things under control too. The reception was beautiful! I wish that I would've taken pictures of it, but I didn't. I was so worn out from the days events and not getting much sleep the previous two nights! Anyway, here are some pictures that I took!

Hunting, Wedding, Stetson, and our Newest Addition!

I know that I've been bad at updating my blog lately, but Billy hasn't been working much. So, when Billy isn't working we spend time together which keeps me off the computer more. Anyway, just thought I'd blog about what's been going on lately!

Billy finally drew out for the deer hunt this year! This is the first year that he's hunted since we've been married. So, last weekend he went out scouting for deer. On Fri. 16th, he started out to search for deer. Unfortunately his transfer case went out on his truck. Nice huh! Well, his brother offered to take him hunting since our truck was out of service! On Sat. 17th off they went to hunt. Not much luck that day, however, Billy did miss while trying to shoot a buck. Apparently it was a couple hundred yards away. Anyway, on Mon. 19th we got our small S10 pickup licensed and decided to all go out hunting as a family. Off we were. Billy had borrowed his dad's four-wheeler, so as I stayed in the truck with Brielle and Stetson, Chandler and Billy rode around searching for deer on their four-wheeler. After about 4-5 hours, Billy rode up with a deer on the back of the four-wheeler. He was successful! It was rather small, only a two-pointer, but Billy was proud that he was able to find and shoot the deer having Chandler with him. It was a fun family outing! A few days later we wrapped the meat and Billy dried much of it for jerky! I'm not a fan of deer meat, but Billy enjoys it!

Billy's baby sister (Deena) got married in the St. George Temple on Saturday! It was such a beautiful wedding! I took many pictures and will tell more and post pictures in a near future post!

Stetson is growing up too fast! Stetson turned 8 months old on Saturday! He's crawling everywhere and is even pulling himself up onto everything! I know that it won't be long til he's walking! Today while trying to get a piece of paper out of his mouth I realized that he had cut his FIRST TWO TEETH!!! Two at one time...WOW!!! It's his two middle bottom teeth! He's so much fun and does new, cute things everyday! I've been working on teaching him some sign language and he understands it, and I know that he's really close to actually signing back to me! I'm so excited! We love him so much and feel so blessed to have him!

We got a new horse! Yes that's right...another horse! However, this isn't just any horse! Billy's uncle has been in the horse breeding business for several years, but is gradually getting out of it. He still breeds several horses every year, but down sizes more and more each year. His horses have been Champion Quarter Horses, and have some of the best breeding lines! A few months ago he sent a letter to Billy, my brother-in-law (Scott/Billy's brother), and brother-in-law (Dwight/Carma's husband) saying that he had 3 fillies this year and wanted to give 1 to each of them. One being a Sorrel, one a Dun, and one a Buckskin! So, when Billy's uncle came down for the wedding on Saturday he brought the horses with him. After much discussion we were pleased to be able to bring home the Buckskin (our 1st choice). Also, we found out that it was born on May 22...Chandler's birthday! So, we are really excited about our new horse, however we will probably be getting rid of one of our other ones because we can't afford to keep them all! I'll keep ya posted on the official name once we get it registered and will also post some pics!

That's all for now! Stay tuned for pictures of the wedding and our newest addition!

Last week my friend Lindsay stopped by on her way home from Vegas from photographing a wedding! Lindsay and I have been friends since kindergarten! We hadn't seen each other in over a year. It was my first time seeing her cute little baby, Josh....and her seeing Stetson! We had a great visit and I was so excited to see her family! Thanks so much for stopping by Lindsay and Todd! So glad we finally got to meet Josh!

As I had mentioned in previous posts, Chandler played flag football! He had so much fun, and I have to admit that it was probably my favorite sport that he's played so far to watch! Here are a few pics from his last game!

He had to block a girl a few times...

Fall is in the Air....or is it?

So, it's officially fall, but it's felt like winter here for the most part. It got down to 22 degrees last week and the daily highs have been rather chilly! I love fall...it's my favorite, but this feels more like winter and I HATE winter! Hopefully some warmer weather is coming. Anyway, I have been slackin' in the blogging department as you can tell. SO....I'm gonna tell you what's been going on.
Billy's baby sister (Deena) is getting married on October 24th. So, we had a bridal shower for her last weekend. We are so excited for her and look forward to her wedding at the St. George Temple later this month!

Stetson has been eating solids for a few months now, but he doesn't like the meats much yet. He makes me laugh when he's being fed. Here are a few pics that I captured of his many faces while eating!

My Grandpa and Grandma Waite stopped by to see us on their way back from Park City. We were so excited to see them and are so glad that they stopped in to see us! The next day we headed down to St. George to watch my cousin Emily finish running the St. George Marathon. I was able to see Emily and family (minus 2 kids), my cousin Amanda and her family, my cousin Anna, my Uncle Greg and my Grandma and Grandpa Waite! We had a great time and it was great seeing them...it's been years since I've seen some of them! Thanks for having us...we LOVE Y'ALL!!!

My friend, Leah Talbot, turned 40! I was Leah's 1st Counselor in the YW's Presidency when I was in YW. She and I have become good friends! I made her this cake for her birthday...along with putting up a few signs!
Well, that's all the pictures I have for now! I was a terrible mom and forgot to bring my camera to Chandler's soccer games. He had his last game on Wednesday and scored the only goal of the game...allowing his team to WIN!!! Way to go Chandler!!! He did so well in soccer this year and we are so proud of him. He has one more flag football game and I plan to bring my camera...hopefully I won't forget!
